Enjoy a day trip from Venice to stunning Cortina - "the pearl of the Dolomites" and take in the breath taking beauty of the Dolomites lakes and mountains. Passing through tunnels with astounding views of canyons and valleys that appear as if from nowhere, the scenery is quite simply, breathtaking. The Dolomites are this and much more. On arrival at Cortina, ‘the Pearl of the Dolomites’, you will have approximately 1 ½ hours of free time to stroll around and take in the picturesque views of the mountains. Weather permitting you may also take the Cable car up to Faloria at 2134mt, which overlooks the entire town of Cortina and the surrounding mountains. We then continue our trip towards the natural lake of Misurina (1756mt) taking the toll road up to the outstanding peaks of the ‘Tre Cime di Lavaredo’, 2,360mt with more unforgettable views of the Dolomites. Here you will have time to wander around or alternatively, you can enjoy an optional lunch, whilst admiring the beautiful mountain peaks and spectacular backdrop with views of ‘Sorapis’, and the ‘Marmarole’. Surrounded by scenery as stunning as this, photo opportunities are plentiful! After lunch (optional) we journey on to admire the picturesque Auronzo lake passing through enchanting mountain villages. Tour Availability: Mondays & Thursdays at 9am between April and October. Between November and March Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9am.
Duration: Approximately 8/9 hours.
Meeting Point: Tronchetto waterbus station (n. “2” waterbus will take passangers to Tronchetto). Upon arrival at Tronchetto please wait for your driver-tour escort at Tronchetto waterbus stop landing. Please arrive at meeting point 15 minutes before departure.
Inclusions: Mercedes Vehicle or similiar make with expert driver/tour escort.
Exclusions: Lunch and any other services not mentioned above.
Additional Information: Warm clothing and comfortable shoes are suggested. Also entrance to Tre Cime di Lavaredo is not possible during the winter months (November - March).
