This full day excursions takes you exploring the extraordinary landscape of Reykjanes peninsula where the Atlantic Volcanic Ridge rises above the ocean revealing the rift between the American and Eurasian continental plates.
Travelling along the rugged coast line of Reykjanes the tour brings you to the site of Reykjanesviti light house, one of Iceland's oldest lighthouses, where the Atlantic Ocean crashes against a battered lava rock coastline creating a spectacular scenery.
A stone's throw from Reykjanesviti light house, next stop is the Gunnuhver hot spring area, home to Iceland’s largest mud-clay pool. Drawing its name from the legendary ghost "Gunna" that haunts the area, this site features an array of small hot springs, fumaroles and multi-coloured thermal features.
From Gunnuhver area the tour continues to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa where you can have a short stop to explore the impressive facilities, access the viewing platform, shoot some photos, and do some shopping.
The second leg of this tour is the Golden Circle tour where you'll explore some of Iceland's greatest natural and historical landmarks including Þingvellir National Park and UNESCO World Heritage site, Gullfoss waterfall, and the famous Geysir hot spring area.
Tour is available daily, from 15th May - 15th September each year.
Departure time is from 8am with pick-up starting from 7:15am.
